Fisco Japan ·  Oct 9 19:35

On the 8th, Timey <215A> announced that it had signed a comprehensive collaboration agreement with Teshikaga Town.

Teshikaga Town, located in eastern Hokkaido, is a town where agriculture and tourism are the main industries. The town boasts Lake Mashu with the highest transparency in Japan, Lake Kussharo, the largest caldera lake in Japan, hot springs, and various tourist destinations. Taking advantage of the cool climate conditions, large-scale dairy farming and field agriculture such as potatoes, wheat, taro, and buckwheat are thriving in the town. However, Teshikaga Town is facing significant challenges due to population decline resulting in labor shortages and an aging population.

In this collaboration agreement, various supports will be provided to businesses and workers to address the regional issues faced by Teshikaga Town. For local businesses, proposals and support for various industries on how to start businesses will be provided through explanatory meetings, aiming to create a system that makes it easier to utilize Timey. By encouraging various people such as seniors and parents to work during their free time, latent workforce will be mobilized, helping to alleviate labor shortages. Moreover, this initiative will lead to long-term employment promotion beyond just working during free time. Additionally, by using Timey for job searches by those hoping to relocate, and through the service "Timey Travel" which allows experiencing working in the local area, employment opportunities for non-locals will be created, aiming to promote migration and settlement in Teshikaga Town.

The company has signed collaboration agreements with 11 cases and 12 municipalities so far, making Teshikaga Town the 12th case and 13th municipality. Furthermore, this collaboration agreement in Hokkaido is the 6th municipality.
