ADR (American Depositary Receipt) Japanese stocks, compared to the Tokyo Stock Exchange (converted at 1 dollar to 149.13 yen), Japan Post <6178>, Mizuho FG <8411>, Sumitomo Mitsui FG <8316>, Mitsubishi UFJ FG <8306>, Fujitsu <6702>, Tokio Marine Holdings <8766>, Mitsubishi Electric <6503>, etc., are rising, with general buying dominance. The settlement price of Chicago Nikkei 225 futures is 245 yen higher than Osaka daytime at 39,855 yen.

The U.S. stock market rebounded. The Dow Jones Industrial Average closed up 409.74 points at 42,863.86, and the Nasdaq ended trading at 18,342.94, up 60.89 points. Encouraged by good bank earnings, the market opened higher. The Producer Price Index (PPI) did not significantly alter the trajectory of interest rate cuts for the year, and a drop in interest rates in advance also supported the market. Expectations for major corporate earnings also acted as a buying factor, leading the market to rise further towards the end. The Dow hit a record high and closed at an all-time high.

In the New York foreign exchange market on the 11th, the dollar-yen weakened to 148.88 yen, then rose temporarily to 149.28 yen, and closed at 149.16 yen. Following the results of the U.S. September Producer Price Index (PPI proving a slowdown in inflation, the dollar moved weakly. At the same time, a faster-than-expected acceleration in the core compared to the previous year, along with a surprisingly lower U.S. October preliminary Michigan Consumer Sentiment Index, led to increased dollar buying due to rising interest rates, as the unexpected rise in the one-year expected inflation rate signals the continuation of inflation risks. Risk-seeking led to a stronger sell-off of yen. The euro to dollar rate fell to 1.0926 dollars before rising to 1.0952 dollars, closing at 1.0937 dollars.

On the 11th, NY crude oil futures for November weakened (NYMEX crude oil November futures settlement price: 75.56, down 0.29).
