Rakuten Group Inc. (hereinafter referred to as "Rakuten") and Science Arts Inc. (hereinafter referred to as "Science Arts") have signed a capital and business alliance agreement today in order to deepen their cooperation and enhance synergy in technology and business aspects.
Additionally, Rakuten Mobile Inc. (hereinafter referred to as "Rakuten Mobile") and Science Arts aim to strengthen the sales of the bundled plan of Rakuten Mobile's "Rakuten Strongest Plan Business" for corporate customers and Buddycom (Buddycom), the live communication platform provided by Science Arts. They have signed a business partnership agreement today.
Furthermore, Rakuten, Rakuten Mobile, and Science Arts have signed a memorandum of understanding today to jointly develop AI technology solutions from Rakuten and the integration of Buddycom to support business efficiency for business companies, etc.

Regarding the business partnership and basic agreement.
At Rakuten Mobile, starting from January 2024, we have begun providing 'Buddycom' as a solution for corporations, and from April 2024, we will sell the 'Rakuten Mobile Buddycom Set' for lodging facilities through 'Rakuten Travel', promoting DX and business efficiency for frontline workers in the lodging industry, among others. In the future, based on this business partnership, Rakuten Mobile and Science Arts will expand the sales of 'Rakuten Mobile Buddycom Set' tailored to each market for business companies related to Rakuten ecosystem services such as 'Rakuten Ichiba', to further promote DX and business efficiency. Furthermore, based on this basic agreement, in collaboration with Rakuten, we will leverage their AI technology and solutions to evolve 'Buddycom' with a characteristic of being a voice solution that suppresses the ears and voices of frontline workers in a more user-friendly and intuitive way for humans, advancing joint development for business efficiency of business companies.
The three companies will continue to consider further value provision for the improvement of customer business efficiency through the utilization of data assets and AI in the future.
