The Zhitong Finance App learned that the auto stock trend was weak. As of press release, Xiaopeng Motor-W (09868) fell 2.99% to HK$40.6; Brilliance China (01114) fell 1.08% to HK$2.75; and Great Wall Motor (02333) fell 0.76% to HK$13.04.

According to CCTV news reports, the Ministry of Commerce held a press conference on the afternoon of the 17th. A Ministry of Commerce spokesperson responded to the China-Europe electric vehicle tariff negotiation process: Up to now, China has shown maximum sincerity and flexibility, and the two sides have made important progress in some areas, but since the European side has never responded positively to issues involving the core concerns of the Chinese and European industries, there are still major differences in the negotiations. The Chinese side has officially invited the European technical team to come to China as soon as possible to continue the next stage of negotiations, and has made all preparations for this, and is awaiting a response from the European side.

Earlier, on October 4, the European Union voted to pass a tariff bill, and tariffs on Chinese electric vehicle exports to the EU will increase dramatically to a maximum of about 45%. It is worth noting that several Weibo accounts have recently posted messages saying that Xiaopeng Motor has made a compromise with the European Union. Xiaopeng Motor's Ministry of Legal Affairs said on Weibo that some cyber marines are maliciously attacking companies, spreading false information on the Internet, and preparing the same documents to spread. Legal procedures have now been initiated. In addition, in response to the recent widespread malicious discreditation of Xiaopeng P7+, Xiaopeng executives posted a Weibo post in response saying that they have suggested that the company follow up on legal matters.
