Orthopedic consumables concept stocks collectively rose. As of the time of publication, Microport (00853) rose by 6.32% to HK$7.07; AK Medical (01789) rose by 4.58% to HK$4.8; Chunli Medical (01858) rose by 3.14% to HK$8.22; Weigao Group (01066) rose by 0.41% to HK$4.92.

According to the Smart Finance APP, orthopedic consumables concept stocks collectively rose. As of the time of publication, Microport (00853) rose by 6.32% to HK$7.07; AK Medical (01789) rose by 4.58% to HK$4.8; Chunli Medical (01858) rose by 3.14% to HK$8.22; Weigao Group (01066) rose by 0.41% to HK$4.92.

Guosen Securities pointed out that the October third quarter reports are being successively disclosed. Consumables companies have shown a relatively high growth rate, especially orthopedic companies are expected to embrace a sector-wide performance turning point. Xiangcai Securities noted that the previous centralized procurement price reductions have significantly impacted the profitability of listed companies. Currently, almost all orthopedic consumable product categories have experienced centralized procurement, with subsequent procurement price reductions being moderate. The industry is expected to slowly recover from the impact of centralized procurement, with some listed companies achieving year-on-year growth in the first half of 2024. Focus on the bottom-up layout opportunities of leading stocks.

Caixin Securities pointed out that with the intensification of aging and the advancement of medical technology, there has been a sharp increase in demand for orthopedic implant consumables, especially high-quality products, due to the broad industry space. Meanwhile, procurement policies drive domestic substitutes, increasing industry concentration, and leading companies consolidate market positions through scale advantages and cost control capabilities. The bank stated that with intense domestic competition and slowing growth, domestic orthopedic consumables companies are beginning to seek opportunities in the international market, with domestic companies' overseas business flourishing.
