Among them, Digital China Group's subsidiary Beijing Digital China Cloud Technology Co., Ltd. entered the bid for ARM-A server package, GPU server package, and diversified bond server (G series). The products to be supplied for the pre-awarded projects are the Digital China Kunta Series general servers, AI servers, etc.

Among them, the G series, which is the domestically produced series, has a quantity of 0.1053 million units, accounting for 67.5%. In terms of architecture, ARM servers such as Kunpeng and Feiteng account for 45%, while the C86 architecture (Haiguang X86 solution) accounts for 8.7%.

A server industry insider told the reporter of the "Star Market Daily" that from the list of candidates, Huawei holds the largest share. For example, Super Fusion is the x86 server business entity spun off from Huawei, Huakunzhenyu is the sole dual strategic partner of Huawei's "Kunpeng & Ascend." BaoDe also has close cooperation with Huawei in computing.

As early as 2020, China Telecom included domestically produced servers in a separate tender catalog nationwide, purchasing nearly 20% of domestically produced servers in the server centralized procurement project that year. In the 2021 centralized procurement, the proportion of domestically produced servers was increased to 26.7%.

According to the research report from China International Capital Corporation, the domestication rate of server centralized procurement from 2022 to 2023 is about 27%, and the evaluation results of the AI computing server (from 2023 to 2024) centralized procurement project announced in October 2023 show a domestication rate of about 47%. The current centralized procurement has reached 67.5%.

A practitioner in the server domain stated that according to relevant policy requirements, key areas should complete the domestication transformation of information systems by 2027. "In recent years, the market for domestic information technology is quite large because it is necessary to carry out domestication transformation according to the relevant policies, and operators will have stable centralized procurement volume every year."

In addition to operators, the aforementioned individual mentioned that the financial industry has great potential in the domestic information technology market.

The Star Market Daily reporter noted that Huawei established a cloud-native army this year. Zhang Ping'an, CEO of Huawei Cloud and Executive Director of Huawei, previously stated that servers are at the core of finance, telecommunications, aviation, and other industries, and the cloudification of core systems has become the final piece of comprehensive cloudification.

It is understood that servers typically refer to high-end servers with eight or more processors. In the past, the application of servers in the financial sector was basically monopolized by foreign manufacturers such as IBM.
