The bank believes that benefiting from the development of end-side AIAgents, there are great opportunities for growth in product demand and value from terminal manufacturers such as mobile phones, headsets, and AR glasses.
The Zhitong Finance App learned that Guosheng Securities released a research report saying that the smart device AutoGLM launched by the Smart Spectrum Technology Team can simulate humans operating a mobile phone based on text/voice instructions. In the future, through a deep understanding of GUI, AutoGLM will have broader application prospects in visual electronic devices. Agents are an important development direction for the computer industry. In the long run, benefiting from the development of end-side AIAgent, there is a great opportunity for growth in product demand and value from terminal manufacturers such as mobile phones, headsets, and AR glasses. The demand for terminal hardware performance of end-side models is expected to drive the upgrading of terminals.
Guosheng Securities's main views are as follows:
Smart Spectrum launches AutoGLM, and the smart assistant ushered in the Phone USE moment.
On October 26, the Smart Spectrum Technology Team launched the smart device AutoGLM, which only needs to receive simple text/voice instructions to simulate humans operating a mobile phone. Currently operable apps on Android include WeChat, Taobao, Meituan, Public Review, Xiaohongshu, Gaode Map, 12306, and Ctrip. In specific use, if multiple search results that meet the requirements appear during task execution, or if the user needs to make further selections, AutoGLM will actively ask for the user's opinions; after the task is executed, the user can drag the hover left and right to provide feedback; users can also create their own commonly used instructions. In the future, AutoGLM's capabilities will not stop there. Theoretically, through a deep understanding of GUI, AutoGLM can do anything humans can do on visual electronic devices, and can actually assist humans in their daily lives and work.
Agents are an important direction in the industry and are leading in intellectual spectrum technology.
1) On October 22, Anthropic announced the launch of the upgraded Claude3.5Sonnet, pioneering Computer USE features. Developers can guide Claude to use computers like people. AutoGLM also has a browser assistant smart spectrum clean-up plug-in that can perform web-based operations. OpenAI and Google are also deploying agent technology. The bank believes that top companies in the industry have deployed agents one after another, clarifying the direction of the industry. Smart Spectrum launched “Phone Use” within a few days after Claude launched “Computer Use”, verifying that China's big model companies are at the cutting edge of the world in terms of technical capabilities.
2) Technically, AutoGLM is based on the “basic intelligence decoupling intermediate interface” and “self-evolving online course reinforcement learning framework”. The two key challenges of large models as agents are not accurate enough and task planning is not flexible enough. Compared with computers, mobile phones currently spend more time with most users. If “Computer Use” opens up a new paradigm of human-computer interaction, then “Phone Use” goes one step further, unlocking the possibility of more applications, so that AI can truly benefit everyone.
Future prospects for intelligent assistants: Terminal vendors and inference side computing power are expected to benefit greatly.
The bank believes that in the long run, mainstream mobile phone manufacturers will probably launch their own agent applications through self-development or cooperation with big model manufacturers. AutoGLM requires the mobile operating system to grant barrier-free access, floating window permission, microphone permission, and screen recording permission. Terminal hardware vendors seize traffic entrances and may have a higher voice compared to app vendors in the future AI terminal ecosystem. In addition to mobile phones, smart assistants for other terminals such as headsets are also progressing. For example, ByteDance Beanbag released the AI smart headset OlaFriend.
The bank believes that benefiting from the development of end-side AIAgents, there are great opportunities for growth in product demand and value from terminal manufacturers such as mobile phones, headsets, and AR glasses. At the same time, with the widespread application of various AIAgents, the demand for computational power on the inference side is expected to increase dramatically. In the future, with the enhancement of terminal computing power and continuous optimization of models, the AIAgent model is expected to be widely deployed on the terminal side. The demand for terminal hardware performance in end-side models is expected to drive the upgrading of terminals.
