Red Dot Design Award 2024 Shimadzu's angiography system “Trinias Series with SCORE Opera” won the “Red Dot Design Award 2024” in the Interface & User Experience Design category in the Brands & Communication Design category. This is the first time our product has received an award in this category.
“Red Dot Design” is one of the world's largest design awards hosted by the “Design Center” in North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. It consists of 3 divisions: Product Design, Brands & Communication Design, and Design Concept. The Brands & Communication Design category is awarded for excellent designs in categories such as branding, advertising, packaging, user interface (UI), and user experience (UX). Our gas chromatograph mass spectrometer “GCMS-QP2050,” the gas chromatograph “Brevis GC-2050,” the ICP mass spectrometer “ICPMS-2040/2050,” and the universal testing machine automation system “SAGX-V Series” have received the “Red Dot Design Award 2024” in the Product Design category.
Angiography System “Trinias Series with SCORE Opera”
It is an angiography system that provides X-ray image information of the whole body from the head to the lower legs for endovascular treatment using a catheter. It has a wide device range of motion and a freely customizable console, providing an optimal environment and efficient workflow for treatment. The customized function of the touch panel buttons reduces operation steps, the lever shape is changed for each function, and the operation module is designed in a size that is easy for the operator to operate without moving. With these features, we have realized a “one-man operation” where the doctor can operate by one person while concentrating on the patient and monitor without looking at his hands.
