TDK ＜6762＞ continues to grow drastically. Financial results for the 2nd quarter were announced last weekend, and operating profit for the July-9 fiscal year was 75.4 billion yen, up 27.3% from the same period last year, and the market forecast was off by about 8 billion yen. The full-year forecast was revised upward from the previous 180 billion yen to 220 billion yen, an increase of 27.2% from the previous fiscal year. Strong performance in the energy business seems to be the main cause of the improvement in business performance. The annual dividend has also been raised from 24 yen to 28 yen. The upward revised value seems to be on par with the consensus level, excluding temporary cost increases.
