Metropolitan Bank ·  Nov 4 00:00

Metro Bank will be showcasing its relationship banking credentials to over 25,000 entrepreneurs expected to attend the Business Show at London's ExCel on November 13th and 14th.

Billed as the world's largest event for start-ups and SMEs, the Business Show will showcase 750 exhibitors and its keynote speakers programme includes business celebrities - entrepreneur and chef Levi Roots, former Dragons' Den 'Dragon' and entrepreneur, Rachel Elnaugh-Love and entrepreneur, ex professional footballer and founder of The Turmeric Co, Thomas Hal Robson Kanu.

Since 2012, Metro Bank has originated and approved just over £10bn in commercial lending. Each of its 75 stores has local business managers who exclusively offer personal face to face banking for entrepreneurs and SME owners in their local communities. Stores also support these relationships by running complimentary networking sessions and by hosting keynote speaker sessions about all aspects of running a business including legal, marketing, HR and recruitment, networking and tax advice to name a few.

Metro Bank has also donated two years free banking to the Launchpad winner as part of the £100k winning package. New for the 50th edition of The Business Show, the 100k Launchpad will be awarded to the best new business idea and is designed to offer support and financial help to get the idea off the ground and running as a growing business.

"We are excited to be attending the Business Show for the first time and being able to promote the value of our face-to-face banking approach. Being here allows us to showcase our commitment to supporting SMEs and building long-lasting relationships," explains Kerry Reynolds Metro Bank's Retail & Business Banking Director. "The benefits of our digital offerings and store network are clear but developing close personal relationships with our business customers is fundamental to the work we do and is key to both our successes."
