Tesla company said on Tuesday that it has started delivering the Cybertruck to customers in Canada, making Canada the third country to which this electric pickup truck has expanded after the USA and Mexico.
Tesla's official account posted on X: "Cybertruck deliveries in Canada have begun."
"I feel like having some Tim Hortons," Tesla wrote on X, a dedicated account introducing the Cybertruck. Tim Hortons is a Canadian multinational coffee shop.
In September this year, Cybertruck project manager Siddhant Awasthi had stated that Tesla might start delivering this stainless steel truck in Canada by the end of October.
In Canada, the base model of Cybertruck with all-wheel drive starts at 137,990 Canadian dollars (approximately 101,505 US dollars), while the higher-end Cyberbeast model starts at 165,990 Canadian dollars (approximately 122,101 US dollars).
Tesla began delivering the Cybertruck to US customers in November last year, and started deliveries to Mexican customers by the end of September this year.
In February this year, Tesla showcased its full product lineup at the Canadian auto show in Toronto, including the Cybertruck. At that time, a company executive confirmed that due to growing interest in this electric vehicle, it would be launched for sale in Canada, but noted that they "must submit some routine documents." In July this year, Tesla confirmed plans to start delivering the vehicle in Canada this year.
