Reporting of winning the "Generation AI Special Division Award" at the 21st Japan e-Learning Awards.

SHIFT has won the "Generation AI Special Division Award" at the 21st Japan e-Learning Awards, sponsored by the Japan Online Education Industry Association and the Industrial Economic Newspaper Co., Ltd., in the internal career advancement system "Top Gun" for SHIFT Group employees.
It is the first time that the award has been received for initiatives related to Generation AI.

■ What is the Japan e-Learning Awards
It is an award that selects particularly excellent content, services, and solutions utilizing e-learning in companies, schools, local governments, etc. The award includes 4 Minister's Awards from the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry, the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology, the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare, and the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications. There are no other awards focused on education like this, attracting a lot of attention every year.

■ What is Top Gun
Top Gan, which won this time, is SHIFT's original education program developed based on the company's know-how such as business decomposition, analysis, formalization, with the aim of improving employees' business skills. It started providing services to SHIFT group employees as an internal system from 2020, supporting employees' autonomous career development through the utilization of e-learning, operation of online salons where employees can freely learn from each other, etc.
In Top Gan, employees independently study e-learning or online, then take certification exams. Certification passing is recognized as one of the indicators proving employees' skills, ensuring deployment in higher positions and roles in projects, with salary increases linked to performance.

By building an education system closely linking 'skills improvement', 'sales force', and 'evaluation system', employees can not only feel the improvement of their market value beyond salaries but also create high value-added talents continuously, benefiting both sides as a win-win system for SHIFT.
The number of Top Gan examinees has been increasing year by year, exceeding 1,000 monthly examinees in June 2024.

Utilization of AI in the generation process in Top Gan
Top Gan's ability development room, consisting of specialists in business analysis and certification development, has been responsible for all aspects from system design to development and operation, using its unique know-how to develop and improve teaching materials and certification exam questions since the start of the service in 2020. From 2023, AI has been introduced in the development of teaching materials and certification exams, realizing automated generation of questions (approximately 0.2 billion patterns), as well as automation in operation and scoring using AI and Power Platform. A mechanism was developed to notify examinees of their results immediately after completion of the exam, achieving improved accuracy of questions and a speedy learning cycle. Furthermore, AI generated is also utilized to support examinees' learning, contributing significantly to the improvement of the learning program including doubling the speed of cultivating IT novices.
By utilizing AI in e-learning, Top Gan can significantly contribute to improving employees' skills and career development, leading to an enhancement in service value. We believe that this aspect has been recognized and evaluated.
