SHIFT was awarded the 'Excellent Company Award for Employment of Persons with Disabilities' (Governor of Tokyo Award) by recognizing outstanding efforts in disabled employee employment by the Tokyo Metropolitan Government, as well as the 'Director's Effort Award' from the Independent Administrative Institution for the Elderly, Persons with Disabilities, and Job Seekers. The awards ceremony was held on November 6 (Wednesday) and we would like to inform you.

SHIFT aims to achieve a society where everyone can thrive by utilizing their talents and abilities, and is committed to creating an environment where all employees can demonstrate their abilities. As part of this effort, the Business Support Department (currently Business Support Department, hereinafter referred to as BizSup) was established in 2019 to promote the employment of people with disabilities, realizing a system where each employee can fully utilize their talents and abilities.
In the recent 'Excellent Company Award for Employment of Persons with Disabilities,' SHIFT's diverse business operations and the team structure that executes them have been organized, achieving a positive cycle that generates further business demand based on the performance and reputation of employees with disabilities. Additionally, the company's overall internal commendation system that treats everyone fairly, without prejudice, recognizing and praising one another, was recognized.
Since its founding, SHIFT has viewed the active participation of all employees as a driver of growth, focusing on talent acquisition regardless of educational background, career, or presence of disabilities, and has worked on creating a system where employees can utilize their abilities and thrive. This award recognizes and reflects the company's belief in and efforts towards these principles.
Establishing 'in-house BPO' that breaks down business tasks and separates work.
At Business Support, we have set up 'in-house BPO' where we organize more than 20 teams, subdivide internal business operations according to each team's expertise, and receive over 800 cases annually from within the company. By appropriately assigning tasks tailored to the characteristics of employees with disabilities, we are creating specialized tasks where each individual can feel fulfillment. Introducing 'in-house BPO' has improved the retention rate of employees with disabilities by approximately 85%* and also contributes to internal business efficiency.
*Calculated for full-time employees, contract employees, and part-time employees of Business Support from September 2023 to August 2024.
Establishing a support system utilizing 'My Carte.'
For the purpose of reasonable consideration, we request the submission of 'My Carte,' which includes business and private goals, characteristics, concerns, and desired responses in case of discomfort. Based on 'My Carte,' providing a place for self-disclosure before joining the company allows early detection of concerns regarding job tasks or health conditions, as well as building a support system where each individual's characteristics are understood, respected, and employees with disabilities can work comfortably for a long time.

About the 'Excellent Company Award for Employing People with Disabilities'
The Tokyo Metropolitan Government selects companies in Tokyo that have achieved the legally required employment rate of people with disabilities and actively engage in developing the capabilities of disabled individuals and improving their treatment, awarding them as Excellent Companies for Employing People with Disabilities.
