(Sinopec Group), the controlling shareholder of the company on November 11, 2024. As of November 10, 2024, Sinopec Group has completed the implementation of plans to increase the company's A shares and H shares through itself and its wholly-owned subsidiaries.
According to the “Voluntary Announcement - Controlling Shareholder's Share Increase Plan” disclosed by the company on November 10, 2023, based on confidence in the company's future development prospects, Sinopec Group plans to increase its holdings of A shares and H shares through itself and its wholly-owned subsidiaries within 12 months from November 11, 2023. The total amount of the proposed increase in holdings is not less than RMB 1 billion (including capital) and no more than RMB 2 billion (including capital). Apart from this increase in holdings, Sinopec Group did not disclose any other plans to increase its holdings in the 12 months prior to the date of this announcement.
Prior to the implementation of this increase, Sinopec Group directly and indirectly held 81.34 billion of the company's shares (including 80.572 billion A shares and 0.7679 billion H shares), accounting for about 66.84% of the company's total issued share capital (calculated based on the company's total share capital on the date of this announcement, same below). As of the date of this announcement, Sinopec Group and its wholly-owned subsidiaries have cumulatively increased their holdings by 0.374 billion shares through this increase, accounting for about 0.31% of the company's total issued share capital. The cumulative increase amount is RMB 1.602 billion (excluding tax).
After the implementation of this increase was completed, Sinopec Group directly and indirectly held 84.105 billion of the company's shares (including 83.062 billion A shares and 1.043 billion H shares, including 2.39 billion A-shares issued by Sinopec Group in March 2024), accounting for about 69.11% of the company's total issued share capital.
During the implementation of this increase in holdings, Sinopec Group and its wholly-owned subsidiaries did not reduce their holdings of the company's shares.
