Sekisui Chemical Industry Co., Ltd. (President: Keita Kato, hereinafter referred to as "Sekisui Chemical")'s Environmental and Lifeline Company (President: Yoshiyuki Hirai) will establish a second factory on the factory premises within the Hemaraj Eastern Industrial Estate in Maptaput, southeastern Thailand, a subsidiary of Thailand, SEKISUI SPECIALTY CHEMICALS (THAILAND) CO., LTD. (President: Toshiyuki Nakashima, hereinafter referred to as "SSCT").
The start of operation of the second factory is scheduled for the second half of the fiscal year 2025.
At Sekisui Chemical, in SSCT, chlorinated polyvinyl chloride resin (hereinafter referred to as "CPVC") is compounded and sold to overseas manufacturers for molding resin pipes, etc. under the brand name "Durastream."
CPVC is a specially chlorinated polyvinyl chloride resin, mainly used as a material for piping materials such as hot water supply pipes and sprinkler pipes that require heat resistance.

In recent years, the demand for heat-resistant resin piping materials has been increasing in various countries including India, and a steady growth can be expected in the future. Therefore, a second factory will be established in SSCT to increase the production capacity of CPVC compound by more than 1.6 times.
