AEON Mall Tebrau City has unveiled a vibrant new area, designed to offer a diverse "food and lifestyle for the whole family" experience. The expansion includes 20 new specialty shops, such as restaurants, a lifestyle bookstore, and entertainment facilities, aimed at enhancing the shopping and dining experience.

The AEON Tebrau City Food Hall introduces a variety of culinary delights, including Johor Bahru's first all-you-can-eat Japanese Shabu-Shabu restaurant. The food offerings also feature Maruki Ramen, Oiso, and Kyochon, alongside 11 outlets specialising in sweets, snacks, and bakeries, including Cinnabon, Royce, Eat Pizza, and O'Briens. To mark the opening, selected outlets are offering special promotions.

A standout addition is the indoor gym and STAR KIDS, an innovative "learning through play" concept that focuses on physical activity for children.

The centrepiece of this new area is the much-anticipated Tsutaya Bookstore, which will open its doors on 15 November. This lifestyle bookstore, Japan's largest retail bookstore, spans 2,500 square meters and combines a diverse selection of books with a Japanese café-inspired ambience. The bookstore will offer books in English, Malay, Chinese, and Japanese, catering to all ages and interests, from children's literature to manga and lifestyle genres.

The Tsutaya Bookstore also features a Book & Café, inspired by urban Japanese kissaten, where visitors can enjoy espresso-based drinks, homemade beverages, and a range of Japanese and Western snacks in a relaxed atmosphere. As part of its opening celebrations, Tsutaya will host family-friendly workshops on the opening day and offer a range of promotions, including goodie bags for the first 100 customers, a free Lelierre bookmark with a book purchase, complimentary homemade lemonade for purchases over RM150, and exclusive gifts for higher spends.
