[Backside Overview]
The Nikkei Average was 38768.94 yen, which was 47.28 yen higher than the previous day, and started with a slight increase from the previous draw (38761.02 yen). Nikkei 225 futures during lunchtime fit well in the 38730 yen to 38840 yen range. The dollar and yen depreciated by about 30 yen from around 9:00 a.m., and the dollar was at a high level of 1 dollar = 155.80-90 yen. As for Asian market conditions, while the Shanghai Composite Index generally remained at a slightly low level and fell by about 0.2%, there was a scene where the Hong Kong Hang Seng Index started falling temporarily, but the upper price was heavy and fell by about 0.6%.
The backstage Tokyo Market began with buying slightly ahead of the previous closing. The fact that the exchange rate of yen swings in the foreign exchange market in the direction of depreciation of yen and appreciation of the dollar compared to the morning seems to be a supporting factor for the stock price of the Tokyo stock market. Meanwhile, awareness of caution against the policies of the next US administration of Trump continues to be recognized, and since the US Wholesale Price Index (PPI) for October may be announced in the US tonight, active buying seems limited.
In the sector, non-ferrous metals, wholesale trade, and warehousing-related industries are at the top of the rate of increase, while the electric/gas industry, metal products, and petroleum and coal products are at the top of the rate of decline.
