NCN <7057> announced its consolidated financial results for the second quarter of the fiscal year ending March 2025 on the 14th. Revenue decreased by 8.7% year-on-year to 3.851 billion yen, operating profit increased by 281.5% to 0.088 billion yen, ordinary profit was 0.118 billion yen (compared to a profit of 0.008 billion yen in the same period last year), and the interim net income attributable to shareholders of the parent company was 0.068 billion yen (compared to a loss of 0.004 billion yen).

Revenue in the residence sector decreased by 7.6% year-on-year to 2.341 billion yen. The number of shipments for the SE construction method was 447 units (a decrease of 2.6% compared to the same period last year). Due to the stabilization of lumber prices, the average sales amount per SE construction method shipment decreased by 5.2% compared to the same period last year. On the other hand, the leading index for the number of SE construction method shipments, the number of structural calculation shipments, increased to 518 units (an increase of 11.9% compared to the same period last year), showing a recovery trend. Additionally, 19 new companies joined the registered SE construction method contractors, bringing the total to 615 companies.

Revenue in the large-scale wooden construction (non-residential) sector decreased by 14.0% to 1.308 billion yen. The number of shipments for wooden non-residential buildings using the SE construction method was 73 units (an increase of 10.6% compared to the same period last year), and the number of structural calculation shipments was 83 units (an increase of 15.3% compared to the same period last year). Additionally, in wooden structure design handling large-scale wooden construction designs other than the SE construction method, the number of structural calculation shipments during this interim consolidated accounting period was 45 units (an increase of 21.6% compared to the previous period), making the total number of structural calculations for non-residential wooden buildings 128 units (an increase of 17.4% compared to the same period last year).

Revenue in the environmental design sector increased by 13.5% to 0.147 billion yen. The number of primary energy calculation reports shipped for wooden residences, collective housing, and non-residential wooden properties was 1,742 cases (an increase of 11.0% compared to the same period last year), and the number of long-term excellent residence application support cases was 270 cases (an increase of 25.6% compared to the same period last year), both showing significant increases.

The full-year consolidated performance forecast for the fiscal year ending in March 2025 remains the same as the initial plan, with sales expected to increase by 12.2% to 8.976 billion yen compared to the previous year, operating profit expected to increase by 168.6% to 0.223 billion yen, ordinary profit expected to increase by 497.0% to 0.285 billion yen, and net income attributable to parent company shareholders expected to be 0.208 billion yen.
