According to news from Sina Technology on the afternoon of November 15, Tencent has announced a new internal personnel rotation: Vice President Zhang Xiaochao has been transferred from the WeChat business group (WXG) basic products department to become the head of the social platform and application line of the platform and content business group (PCG); Vice President Yao Xiaoguang has concluded a three-and-a-half-year concurrent position and will continue to serve as the president of Tianmei Studio Group in the interactive entertainment business group (IEG), focusing on game business and leading Tianmei to accelerate its global business development. At the same time, Yao Xiaoguang will act as an advisor for the PCG social platform and application line, continuously promoting and supporting the strategic transformation of the social platform business and the strategic collaboration with the game business.

Tencent stated that the company has always encouraged the internal rotation of management personnel, with increasing rotations in the past two years to adapt to the development needs of various business stages and to enhance organizational vitality.

Tencent revealed that "under Yao Xiaoguang's leadership, QQ has successfully achieved its phase goals," noting that Yao has concurrently served as the head of the PCG social platform business since April 2021. During the three and a half years, he led the PCG social platform and application team to comprehensively upgrade QQ's backend infrastructure and added new features such as Tencent Channel, promoting continuous innovation and development of QQ.
