On the 14th, Mimaki Engineering <6638> decolorizes dyes from printed fabrics and announced that they have fully cooperated with the reuse of resources for store decoration tapestries in Loft's “Loft Green Project” through test operation of the company's “Neochromatographic Process,” which makes it possible to reuse them.
Test operation of the “recyclable use TAPESTRY INC,” which reuses cloth, began in November at Ikebukuro Loft, and it is planned that reuse with the aim of reducing waste will continue in the future.
Most TAPESTRY INC (cloth advertising displays such as banner flags, hanging banners, etc.) for commercial facilities/store events and campaigns use polyester fabrics with designs printed on them, and after use, they are mainly incinerated or disposed of in landfills. TAPESTRY INC that are disposed of after a short period of use at stores in various industries are used by decolorizing the design from the fabric using the company's latest technology and changing the design many times before use, contributing to the reduction of CO2 emissions by reducing cloth disposal. Since decolorized fabrics can be reprinted at TAPESTRY INC production businesses in various places, recycling within local areas is possible, and upcycling of textile products is realized.
With the cooperation of the fiber circulation platform “BIOLOGIC LOOP (BIOLOGIC LOOP)” operated by BP Lab, the recycled use TAPESTRY INC created this time were carried out in a recycling trial where they were decolorized and printed using the company's neochromatographic process and reused.
The company plans to provide recycling solutions that can be implemented by printing companies all over the country by commercializing neochromatographic process equipment in the future.
