Dream Arts <4811> announced on the 14th that SmartDB (R) (Smart DB) has been introduced to Tokyu <9005>.

At Tokyu, approximately 2,000 people began using the approval business application built with SmartDB (R) from 2024/10/21.

As changes in the external environment, such as rising interest rates due to the COVID-19 pandemic and financial normalization, continued, the medium-term three-year management plan starting in fiscal 2024 was positioned as a restart period, and strengthening the management base by promoting business strategies and corporate strategies was set. Also, Tokyu's “digital strategy” aims to improve work efficiency and reduce routine work hours across groups through business process reforms. As a forerunner of business process reform, the Business Management Group was considering introducing a new system in order to renew the approval system, which has become complicated due to long-term use from 2014, and to realize digitalization of legal affairs consultation services. The Business Management Group formulates requirements that serve as selection criteria when introducing a new system. In order to be able to respond flexibly to changes in field operations, we compared and examined multiple services, including a no-code system that can be easily developed on site without relying on outsourcing. Among them, in addition to the high degree of compliance with requirements, sympathy for “digital democratization,” which enables continuous system improvements led by the field, led to the introduction of SmartDB (R).

In the future, it is expected that material management etc. for internal meetings that require granting viewing authority will be unified into SmartDB (R), starting with analog in-house application acceptance operations that still remain.
