The company collaborates with enterprises such as Aviation Industry Corporation of China and Shide Technology on various structural components like aircraft frame wings and prepreg materials; its holding subsidiary Tianrendao has signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Star River Power, focusing on joint R&D and manufacturing for rocket fairings, attitude control cabins, and other segments.

According to the Star Daily on November 20 (reporter Qiu Siyu), "The company's holding subsidiary Tianrendao, as the leading drafting unit for two group standards for low-altitude aircraft, lays a solid foundation for the standardized and normalized development of the low-altitude economic industry chain." Yang Kailin, vice chairman and president of Beijing Tianyishangjia New Material Corp., stated at the third-quarter earnings conference held today (November 20).

Against the backdrop of a sharp decline in both revenue and net profit for the company due to intense competition in the downstream photovoltaic industry, investors are particularly interested in Beijing Tianyishangjia's business layout and commercialization in the fields of low-altitude economy and commercial rockets.

"The company's resin-based carbon fiber structural functional integrated composite materials are widely used in aerospace, low-altitude economy, and other fields," Yang Kailin told reporters from the Star Daily at the earnings conference. He added, "In the aviation sector, we collaborate with enterprises like Aviation Industry Corporation of China and Shide Technology on various structural components like aircraft frame wings and prepreg materials, while in commercial aerospace, holding subsidiary Tianrendao has signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Star River Power, focusing on joint R&D and manufacturing for rocket fairings and attitude control cabins."

Specifically, in the field of resin-based composite materials, its holding subsidiary Tianrendao has completed the static testing and related work for the first product of a commercial aerospace rocket fairing project; it has also completed the initial delivery of the fuselage structure for a certain type of drone project.

It is reported that resin-based composite materials are expected to be widely used in the low-altitude economy industry for applications such as drones and commercial aerospace rockets due to their excellent fatigue resistance, corrosion resistance, shock absorption, along with diverse functionalities, easy molding processes, and strong plasticity in material structure and performance.

In the field of carbon-based composite materials, Tianrendao has confirmed the technical input and scheme review for a certain model of carbon-ceramic brake discs from Aviation Industry Corporation of China and started preparing samples; it has received an order for an ablation-resistant throat lining sample from a certain unit and has completed the design and began production; it is continuously cooperating with a certain institute of China Aerospace Science and Industry Corporation for the development of a new high-temperature, ablation-resistant product.

Additionally, the carbon-carbon crucible developed by the company is used in the high-temperature processing of producing positive and negative electrodes for lithium batteries, and has currently passed the access verification from several industry-leading clients, entering the batch production and delivery phase. In the rapidly growing field of solid state batteries, Yang Kailin stated that there is currently no involvement in relevant R&D.

“At a time when the industry is experiencing a downturn, the company continuously researches the demand and application trends in the new materials industry around its main business, develops new products, and expands the application space of materials and products.” Yang Kailin admitted.

Returning to the photovoltaic main business, beijing tianyishangjia new material corp. stated that the demand for monocrystalline pulling consumables from its industry chain downstream customers has not shown significant improvement, thus its photovoltaic new energy fund business has been affected, with product prices hovering at low levels.

Recently, rumors about restrictions on energy consumption policies related to the photovoltaic industry have been brewing and received extensive attention in the market, with investors also asking questions at this earnings conference. Regarding the policy, Yang Kailin believes, “If energy consumption restriction policies are introduced in the photovoltaic industry, it will have a profound impact on the photovoltaic industry, including market reactions, improvements in the supply and demand relationships in the industry’s upstream and downstream, corporate technology upgrades, and resource integration in the industry.”

Yang Kailin further stated that, on one hand, enterprises with high energy consumption and low efficiency may face elimination due to inability to meet policy requirements, leading to a concentration of market share towards high efficiency and low-cost enterprises. The exit of high-energy-consuming capacities will reduce market supply, which will help stabilize or even increase product prices. On the other hand, this will increase the costs of technological transformation and equipment upgrades for enterprises, potentially putting pressure on their profitability in the short term. However, in the long term, this will help enhance the core competitiveness of enterprises.
