On November 21, GLONGHUI | Liberal Arts Interactive (00434.HK) announced that for the nine months ended September 30, 2024, the Group recorded revenue of approximately RMB 0.318 billion, an increase of about 8.1% year on year; profit attributable to company owners was RMB 0.212 billion, up 149.4% year on year; non-IFRS adjusted net profit was RMB 0.216 billion, up 148.5% year on year.
The increase in revenue was mainly due to (i) the Group's cryptocurrencies receiving value-added benefits from digital assets; and (ii) the Group's online game revenue increased due to the holding of certain online operating events and continuous optimization of game products and gameplay.
Judging from operating data, the number of the company's paying players in the third quarter of 2024 showed a certain decline compared to the second quarter of 2024, down 2.9% from 0.21 million in the second quarter of 2024 to about 0.2 million in the third quarter of 2024. However, the number of users of the Group in the third quarter of 2024 showed a certain increase compared to the second quarter of 2024. Among them, the number of daily active users increased by 4.4% from about 1.12 million in the second quarter of 2024 to about 1.17 million in the third quarter of 2024, and the number of monthly active users increased 10.5% from about 0.41 million in the second quarter of 2024 to about 0.45 million in the third quarter of 2024. The ARPPU value of the Group's Texas Hold'em mobile terminal has increased.
During the third quarter of 2024, the Group successfully hosted the BPT brand series - 2024BPT Full Service Online Tournament. The tournament attracted a total of about 78.6,000 participants from various countries and regions, including but not limited to Asia and Europe, further enhancing the Group's brand influence and enabling the Group to continue to make steady progress on the path of building a world-class poker tournament brand.
