Citi said that the strong performance and guidance of Nvidia (NVDA.US) indicates a continued strong demand for artificial intelligence in enterprises, which is particularly beneficial to Dell Technologies (DELL.US).

The Zhitong Finance App learned that Citibank said that Nvidia (NVDA.US)'s strong performance and guidance indicates continued strong corporate AI demand, which is particularly beneficial to Dell Technology (DELL.US). Analyst Asiya Merchant said in a note to clients: “Overall, we think demand is positive for enterprise server OEMs (Dell, HPE, and Ultra Micro).”

The analyst said, “Specifically, during the conference call, management noticed that artificial intelligence is highly attractive in the corporate environment, especially Agent AI. The annual revenue of artificial intelligence companies has more than doubled compared to last year, business pipelines are still being built, and more potential customers or sales opportunities are being accumulated.”

Merchant rated Dell as a “buy” with a target price of $160. He added that Dell and HPE Technology (HPE.US) both believe that by 2027, the total potential market for artificial intelligence will be between 171 billion and 174 billion US dollars, and starting in 2023, the compound annual growth rate will be between 20% and 25%.

According to the latest financial data released yesterday by AI leader Nvidia, many figures have exceeded market expectations. Total revenue for the third fiscal quarter surged 94%, while net profit doubled. The published revenue outlook for the next quarter also exceeded average expectations.

At the performance conference, CEO Hwang In-hoon assured investors that its new product line, the Blackwell-architected AI GPU series, will continue to lead the sharp expansion of performance driven by the AI boom, driving Nvidia's stock price to a record high of $152.89 in Thursday's session.

As of press time, Dell shares rose 0.76% after the market.
