(Headquarters: Chuo-ku, Tokyo, President: Osamu Hashimoto) has constructed a new research and development base, the Creative Integration Lab.TM (located in Nagoya City, Aichi Prefecture, hereinafter "CIL"), at our Nagoya plant, and the completion ceremony was held on October 30, 2024.

At CIL, the research departments related to semiconductors and packaging will seamlessly collaborate to strengthen solution proposal capabilities through co-creation with customers, improve problem-solving abilities through unified operation of related research departments, and promote human resource development. Through this, we aim to create materials from scratch with the thoughts and ideas of the people gathered here, aiming for a richer life for all in an accelerating modern society.
CIL consists of two buildings: the co-creation building (ATTA), which promotes communication between customers and researchers, and the ICT test field (DELA), which consolidates clean rooms and various testing facilities.
Co-creation building (nickname: ATTA):A place for communication between customers and researchers. To collaborate on co-creation with other sites within Mitsui Chemicals, high-speed communication equipment connecting to the Creation Palette locations nationwide and a digital presentation system to share specialized technical presentations (conferences, exhibitions, etc.) have been installed.
ICT test field (nickname: DELA):It includes clean rooms, draft rooms, reliability test rooms, and constant temperature and humidity rooms, consolidating and expanding process evaluation, performance evaluation, reliability testing equipment, etc., and serves as a place for prototype making and evaluation together with customers.
*1: ATTA (Atta)
The nickname for the Co-Creation Building. It originates from Atsuta Shrine (Atsuta-ku, Nagoya City, Aichi Prefecture). The desire is expressed here for visitors to feel the serendipity of co-creation, as in "Encounter has Atta" and "Ideas have Atta."
*2: DELA (Dela)
The nickname for the ICT Test Field. Dela is a dialect from Aichi Prefecture meaning "amazing" or "very." It conveys a wish for those visiting this land, and the people working here, to develop an affection for this place.
