Simply Wall St ·  17:48

Insiders were net buyers of Nongfu Spring Co., Ltd.'s (HKG:9633 ) stock during the past year. That is, insiders bought more stock than they sold.

Although we don't think shareholders should simply follow insider transactions, we do think it is perfectly logical to keep tabs on what insiders are doing.

Nongfu Spring Insider Transactions Over The Last Year

The Founder Shanshan Zhong made the biggest insider purchase in the last 12 months. That single transaction was for HK$118m worth of shares at a price of HK$33.73 each. That means that even when the share price was higher than HK$32.05 (the recent price), an insider wanted to purchase shares. It's very possible they regret the purchase, but it's more likely they are bullish about the company. To us, it's very important to consider the price insiders pay for shares. Generally speaking, it catches our eye when an insider has purchased shares at above current prices, as it suggests they believed the shares were worth buying, even at a higher price. Shanshan Zhong was the only individual insider to buy shares in the last twelve months.

Shanshan Zhong bought a total of 7.00m shares over the year at an average price of HK$32.16.
