Barclays strategists believe that the usa stock market will further rise in 2025 driven by constructive positioning and a robust macroeconomy, although the pace of the market will slow compared to the rapid momentum of this year and last.
The team led by Venu Krishna has raised the target price for the s&p 500 index from 6,500 points to 6,600 points by the end of next year, approximately 10% higher than Monday's level.
Strategists indicate that Wall Street may be underestimating the sustained strength of large technology companies while overestimating the earnings of other s&p 500 index constituents.
Krishna noted that the guidance for large technology companies is improving, while throughout the cycle, the consensus on their eps has been too low.
Goldman Sachs: U.S. stocks are expected to strengthen before the end of the year, and the s&p 500 index is likely to rise another 4%.
