永辉超市回应申请“胖永辉”商标:属防御保护性注册

Sina Technology News, at noon on December 2, according to Tianyan's intellectual property information, recently, Yonghui supermarket applied for the registration of the “Fat Yonghui” trademark, which is classified internationally as a musical instrument. Currently, the status of the trademark is awaiting substantive review. The relevant person in charge of Yonghui Supermarket said that the move is a defensive protective registration and will not be put into use.

In May of this year, Yonghui Supermarket introduced the “Fat Donglai” model. Yonghui Zhengzhou Xinwan Plaza store became the first store to be restructured. Currently, Yonghui Supermarket has completed the restructuring of 20 stores nationwide, and plans to increase the number of modified stores to 40 to 50 before the Spring Festival.

The relevant person in charge of Yonghui Supermarket said that netizens named the Fat Donglai version of the Yonghui supermarket remodeled store “Fat Yonghui”. As Yonghui Supermarket continued to revise and increase the volume of the modified store, Yonghui Supermarket applied for the “Fat Yonghui” trademark due to defensive protection, but there are no plans to use it.

It is worth noting that recently, the “Shang Vegetable Yonghui” Chuansha store displayed a large number of banners with slogans such as “Shanghai's First Self-Study Fat Donglai Store”. In response, Shanghai Yonghui Supermarket issued an official statement saying that currently the “Shangyao Yonghui” trademark and its holder have nothing to do with Yonghui Supermarket, nor is this Yonghui Supermarket's first self-regulated store in Shanghai. The act of “serving Yonghui vegetables” caused Yonghui trademark problems, which is also the reason for defensive protection registration.

Furthermore, Shanghai Yonghui Supermarket also said that it will release information on Yonghui Supermarket's first store in Shanghai to learn about Fat Donglai in Shanghai in the near future. All information relating to Yonghui Supermarket is subject to Yonghui Supermarket's official release.

According to information, Yonghui Supermarket will continue to promote independent study of Fat Donglai and Fat Donglai to support the parallel lines of regulation and reform.
