Google Cloud (GOOGL.US) said on Wednesday that it has partnered with Air France-KLM (Air France-KLM) to deploy generative artificial intelligence (AI) technology on the airline group's data.
The Zhitong Finance App learned that Google Cloud (GOOGL.US) said on Wednesday that it has cooperated with Air France-KLM (Air France-KLM) to deploy generative artificial intelligence (AI) technology on the aviation group's data. Google Cloud said in a statement that the France-Dutch Airlines Group's 551 operating aircraft carried 93 million passengers in 2023, and its commercial and cargo flights generated a large amount of data. Google Cloud's artificial intelligence solutions will use this data in areas such as analyzing passenger preferences and travel patterns and predicting aircraft maintenance.
Google Cloud said Air France KLM will retain full ownership and control of its data, adding: “The group will have a deeper understanding of passenger preferences, travel patterns and behavior to provide new tailored travel options and services, and enhance flight, airport and business operations, predicting that the data analysis time required for aircraft maintenance has been reduced from a few hours to a few minutes.”
Matt Renner, president of global revenue at Google Cloud, said, “Airlines generate vast amounts of data, and much of this data is incredibly valuable in helping drive operational insight and build a better customer experience.”
