The five-day exchange group was organized by Sands China Ltd., co-organized by the Macau Economic and Technological Development Bureau, supported by the Macau Foundation for the Development of Science and Technology, and coordinated by the Sands Integrated Resort Incubation Center, a subsidiary of Sands China Ltd., which is dedicated to exploring the development potential of Macau's innovative enterprises.

The first stop of this exchange group itinerary is to attend the Lisbon Annual Technology Conference - Web Summit, which gathers experts, creative talents, corporate executives, and cultural figures from around the world. This large-scale technology conference focusing on the latest trends and innovative strategies in the technology industry attracted 70,000 participants from 150 countries, including 2,600 startups, 900 investors, and 800 speakers. In addition to speeches, panel discussions, and networking activities, business giants also shared their professional knowledge in various industries through masterclasses, roundtable meetings, and discussion sessions at the summit. Macao companies participated in sessions on sustainable development, artificial intelligence, and robotics technology.

Members of Sands China Ltd's management also participated in this exchange group to encourage Macao companies to introduce more innovative technologies, products, and services to enhance operational efficiency, customer experience, and company performance. Companies visited by the exchange group include:

• Outsystems: A low-code application development platform dedicated to quickly building and adjusting software for business users, one of the 'unicorn' companies in Portugal (meaning one of the privately held companies valued at one billion US dollars);
• Sensei Tech: A pioneer in autonomous retail technology in Europe, utilizing cameras, weight sensors, and artificial intelligence algorithms to create autonomous shopping experiences, adding value to the company's retail business;
• Unicorn Factory (Unicorn Factory): The project was founded in Portugal with the aim of supporting and expanding the scale of promising startups, helping them become 'unicorn' companies.

The final stop of the exchange group is to participate in the Technology Enterprise Development Exploration Workshop. The event aims to introduce methods and collaboration models used by startups, allowing everyone to have a deep understanding of the strategies that help promote the development of innovative technologies. The workshop leads participants to understand the main innovative methods and project types, giving them a more comprehensive understanding of applying innovative technology. The workshop also arranges for exchange group members to set their own challenges and explore methods to address them together.
