Ventis Maritime Corporation (hereafter, “VENTIS”) and “K” LNG Maritime Services, Inc. (hereafter, “KLMSI”), which are seafarer shipping companies invested by Kawasaki Kisen Co., Ltd. (hereafter, “the Company”), jointly held a seafarer benefit and long-term service award ceremony in Makati City, Philippines on November 30 to coincide with the Christmas season. Vacationing seafarers and their families were invited to the same venue, and many stakeholders from our company, including President Meichin, participated.
VENTIS, which was established in 1989, and KLMSI, established in 2017, are at the core of our company as crew delivery companies for container ships, car carriers, dry bulk carriers, LNG carriers, oil tankers, and LPG carriers, and our group's crew transfer companies have received high praise from local authorities, such as receiving the “Top Performer Award” given by DMW (Note 1) to companies that have been recognized for their outstanding performance in the maritime sector.
During the ceremony, President Meichin acknowledged the contributions to daily safe operation to seafarers and their families, and also conveyed the importance of securing and training excellent seafarers as efforts to introduce new technology, including environmental response, are being accelerated.
Other crew delivery group companies are planning to hold similar initiatives in various parts of the Philippines, and we will continue to improve engagement through dialogue with seafarers, their families, and affiliated companies, leading to safe operation and provision of high-quality transportation services.
