Capcom Co., Ltd. is pleased to announce the first-ever gaming production competition for students, titled "CAPCOM GAMES COMPETITION," aimed at revitalizing the gaming industry by utilizing our self-developed engine "RE ENGINE".
"RE ENGINE" is a world-class game development engine that we take pride in. It not only enables photorealistic depictions that resemble real life but also simplifies complex technologies for developers, creating a smoother development environment. It allows for significant improvements in development efficiency and high-quality game development, always evolving to create titles that can compete globally.
In this upcoming competition, participants will engage in game development using game production tools such as "RE ENGINE" in a cloud environment. Each team can have a maximum of 20 members, with roles assigned according to the profession of creators, and develop one work over the course of six months with support from our developers. Through this competition, participants will have the opportunity to acquire the latest game development methods. Additionally, we plan to provide gaming production support for works among the award-winning entries that have commercialization potential.
By providing opportunities to learn about safe environments for game development and methods, we aim to contribute to the research and development of educational institutions and the cultivation of excellent talent, thereby revitalizing the entire gaming industry. We will continue to actively engage in CSR activities as a good corporate citizen trusted by society.
