As of the time of writing, Fortuna Mining (FVI.US) rose about 11%, hecla mining (HL.US) rose over 11%, coeur mining (CDE.US) rose over 9%, pan american silver (PAAS.US) rose over 8%, harmony gold mining (HMY.US) rose nearly 8%, gold fields (GFI.US) rose over 5%, b2gold (BTG.US) rose over 5%, and barrick gold (GOLD.US) rose 3.4%. On the news front, spot silver surged 4.00% during the day, currently at $32.20 per ounce. COMEX silver futures also surged 4.00% during the day, currently at $32.85 per ounce.
