後場の日経平均は68円高でスタート、丸紅や三井物などが上昇

Summary of the start of the afternoon session

In the afternoon session, the Nikkei average started at 39,228.69 yen, up 68.19 yen from the previous day, slightly expanding the gain from the previous close (39,197.42 yen). During lunchtime, the Nikkei 225 futures traded in a range of 39,190 yen to 39,260 yen. The dollar-yen rate is 1 dollar = 151.20-30 yen, indicating a yen appreciation and dollar depreciation of about 20 sen since around 9 AM. In the Asian market, after starting with an increase in the Shanghai Composite Index, it has remained firm, rising about 1.3%, while the Hong Kong Hang Seng Index has slightly faltered compared to the morning, rising about 0.9%.

In the afternoon session of the Tokyo market, buying started slightly ahead compared to the previous close. There is a view that expectations for China's economic stimulus measures are supporting stock prices. On the other hand, there are no prominent buying materials domestically, and aggressive buying seems to be limited.

In the sector, iron & steel, wholesale trade, and transportation equipment are among the top gainers, while other products, insurance, and nonferrous metals are among the top losers.

In terms of transaction value in the Tokyo Stock Exchange main board, Shiseido Company, Limited Sponsored ADR <4911>, Fanuc Corp <6954>, Sony Group Corp <6758>, Marubeni <8002>, Renesas <6723>, Mitsui & Co., Ltd. <8031>, Yaskawa Electric <6506>, Sumitomo Corporation <8053>, Dai <6367>, and Tokyo Electron <8035> are performing well. On the other hand, Fujikura <5803>, Sakura <3778>, Hitachi <6501>, Mitsubishi Heavy <7011>, Nintendo Co Ltd <7974>, Mitsui E&S Holdings <7003>, Nitori Holdings <9843>, DeNA <2432>, IHI <7013>, and Daiichi Sankyo <4568> are declining.
