BMW responded on its official account on social platform X to a video showing a Tesla owner using the company's FSD V13 version without his hands on the steering wheel.
In response to BMW's praise, Tesla's official account replied with "Hi, BMW," along with a smiling emoji.
The interaction between the two official accounts has ignited hope among Tesla bulls that the company may eventually license this technology to BMW.
Gary Black, managing partner of Future Fund, commented, "At some point, Tesla will sign an FSD licensing agreement with another Auto Manufacturer that has yet to develop its preferred autonomous driving suite. A deal will lead other companies to follow, and then Analysts will incorporate the licensing price into their Tesla models and Target Prices. No one knows when the first deal will happen, but there will be at least one."
Tesla CEO Elon Musk stated earlier this year that the company is "more than happy" to license its FSD technology to other auto companies.
