Apart from that, Jolin has hardly any significant traces online.

Previously, Ellison has been married four times.

From 1967 to 1974, Ellison experienced his first marriage, then remarried in 1977, only to get divorced a year later. In 1983, he married the company's former receptionist Barbara Boothe and divorced in 1986. In 2003, Ellison married novelist Melanie Craft, but they divorced seven years later.

Ellison's full name is Lawrence Joseph Ellison, and he was born in 1944 in a single-parent family in New York, USA. He spent a brief period in college but dropped out after his adoptive mother's death.

In 1966, 22-year-old Ellison moved to Berkeley, California — close to what would later become Silicon Valley — and drifted between various jobs, including at Wells Fargo & Co and Amdahl, during which he learned computer and programming skills.

In 1977, inspired by the theory of relational databases from IBM computer scientist Edgar F. Codd, Ellison and his partners founded the company Software Development Laboratories. In 1979, the company was renamed Relational Software, and in 1982, it officially changed its name to Oracle Systems Corp., which means Oracle.

In 1986, Oracle went public with an initial offering price of $15 per share, raising $55 million. The company quickly grew and expanded, and Ellison became a billionaire at the age of 49.

In 2023, Oracle invested in Cohere, a competitor of OpenAI, using its technology to develop generative AI and provide specialized training services for large language models to its clients. According to Fortune, due to the gold rush in generative AI, Oracle's stock price soared, and Ellison's personal wealth continued to increase.

His business success led Ellison to indulge in expensive hobbies: luxury watches, yachts, and real estate.

Ellison has a large collection of Richard Mille watches, with each priced from six figures to millions of dollars. He is also passionate about yacht racing and has funded the BMW Oracle racing team. In 2009, he acquired the Indian Wells Tennis Tournament for $0.1 billion. Furthermore, Ellison has billions in Real Estate Investment, owning Property in Newport, Rhode Island, Palm Beach, Florida, among other locations.

Ellison also has a friendly relationship with Trump.

During this year's election, Ellison publicly expressed his support for Trump, stating, "I don’t think he is the devil — I support him and hope he does well." He maintained a close relationship with him during Trump's previous term. After the executive order mandating ByteDance to divest its businesses in the US, Trump expressed support for Oracle's acquisition of TikTok, calling Oracle a "great company."
