On December 12, Gelonghui reported that SUNSHINE INS (06963.HK) announced that it received the resignation letter from independent non-executive director Liu Zhanqing on December 10, 2024. Since Liu Zhanqing has served as the company's independent non-executive director for six consecutive years, according to relevant regulatory provisions in China, Liu Zhanqing submitted his resignation from the positions of independent non-executive director, chairman of the Board of Directors' nomination and remuneration committee, and member of the Board of Directors' related party transaction control committee.

The Board of Directors held a meeting on December 12, 2024, to review and approve the proposal on nominating candidates for the sixth independent directors of the company, nominating Dong Bin as a candidate for the company’s sixth independent non-executive director, which will be further submitted for approval at the company’s shareholders' meeting. Dong Bin's term will be calculated from the date of completion of the procedures as stipulated in the company’s articles of association and upon approval of his directorship qualification by the China Insurance Regulatory Commission, until the expiration of the sixth Board of Directors' term, and he can be re-elected upon term expiration.

Dong Bin, born in May 1977, is currently the executive director and vice chairman of the Board of Directors of KNT HOLDINGS, executive director of JIMU GROUP, and chairman of Peking Junwangfu Cultural and Artistic Company; he also serves as the chief representative of the Chinese and Foreign Entrepreneurs' Cooperation Association, honorary chairman of the Chaoyang District Foreign Economic Cooperation Promotion Association and the Chaoyang District Foreign Investment Enterprises Association in Beijing, director of the G20 Research Center, and executive member of the Chaoyang District Federation of Industry and Commerce in Beijing; concurrently serving as the chairman of the organizing committee of entrepreneur summits such as those for China-Europe, China-Africa, China-Australia, China-Arab, and China-Japan. Mr. Dong Bin previously served as the general manager of the International Cooperation Department of Beijing Capital Startup Group (during which he was temporarily assigned to the Capital Project Management Department of the State Administration of Foreign Exchange), special assistant to the secretary-general of the Boao Forum for Asia, international market director of Beijing Urban Construction Group, and managing director of Beijing Urban Construction Debo Architectural Technology Co., Ltd.
