According to the Financial Association on December 16 (Editor: Bian Chun), on Monday morning in Asia, the price of Bitcoin surged again, reaching a historical high. Previously, comments from USA President-elect Donald Trump hinted that he plans to establish a Bitcoin strategic reserve similar to the USA's Strategic Petroleum Reserve.

The price of Bitcoin rose over 3% on Monday, reaching an unprecedented 106,495 yuan, and currently, the price is trading at 105,196 USD.

Trump said in a media interview late last week, "We will do great things in the field of Cryptos," noting that more and more countries are embracing Cryptos, but "we need to be the leaders."

When asked if he plans to establish a cryptocurrency reserve similar to the oil reserve, Trump replied, "Yes, I think so."

IG Analyst Tony Sycamore stated that the reason the price of Bitcoin has risen is due to reports over the weekend that Trump will advance the Bitcoin strategic reserve plan.

"The next market expectation is 0.11 million USD. Because now we have this news, the correction that many people were waiting for has not occurred," Sycamore said.

Aya Kantorovich, co-founder of the institutional crypto platform August, analyzed that market participants are full of anticipation for Trump's support for digital assets and his commitment to making the USA a leading power in the global Crypto Industry, which is directly reflected in the strong demand from institutional investors for Crypto ETF products.

Unlike the Biden administration's crackdown on digital assets, Trump is committed to creating a friendly regulatory environment for cryptos, having pledged to turn the USA into the "crypto capital."

Last week, Trump appointed former PayPal COO David Sacks as the head of AI and cryptocurrency affairs at the White House, indicating his intention to promote the development of the crypto industry. Earlier this month, Trump also nominated conservative lawyer and crypto enthusiast Paul Atkins to lead the USA Securities and Exchange Commission.

Since the November 5 USA elections, the price of Bitcoin has surged over 50%. As of Sunday, Bitcoin has achieved seven consecutive weeks of gains, setting the longest winning streak since 2021.

In addition, since the USA elections, direct investments in Bitcoin US ETFs have attracted a net inflow of 12.2 billion dollars.
