Zhitongcaijing APP has learned that the Global condiment brand McCormick & Co (MKC.US) is negotiating to acquire Sauer Brands Inc. from Falfurria Capital Partners.
An unnamed insider stated that this deal could value the Sauer Brands company, known for its Duke's mayonnaise brand, at over 1 billion dollars. Currently, no agreement has been reached, and negotiations could end in failure, or another buyer may emerge.
Falfurrias acquired CF Sauer Co. in 2019, which also produces other condiments, spices, and herbs. Falfurrias started considering selling the company now known as Sauer Brands this year.
In 2020, McCormick & Co, headquartered in Hunt Valley, Maryland, acquired condiment manufacturer Fona International for 0.71 billion dollars and hot sauce maker Cholula for 0.8 billion dollars. McCormick & Co's stock price has risen about 17% this year, with a Market Cap of approximately 21.5 billion dollars.
