東証グロース市場250指数先物概況:米利下げ打ち止め観測で反落

Overview of the TSE Growth Market 250 Index Futures: Decline observed due to expectations of a halt in US interest rate cuts.

Fisco Japan ·  Dec 16 23:30

On December 17, the TSE Growth Market 250 Index Futures closed at 622 points, down 5 points from the previous trading day. The high was 628 points, the low was 620 points, and the intraday trading volume was 2,119 contracts. The Dow Inc in the US market on the previous day, December 16, fell for the eighth consecutive day. Due to expectations of additional rate cuts in the upcoming Federal Open Market Committee (FOMC) meeting midweek, it rose slightly after the opening. The December Services PMI indicated a high level not seen in about three years, suggesting an acceleration in the pace of expansion, which was positively received and expanded the rise; however, the Dow's upper limit weighed heavily, leading to a slight decline. On the other hand, the Nasdaq, driven by gains in Apple, Google's parent company Alphabet, and Semiconductors Broadcom, performed strongly and set a new record high. Today, the TSE Growth Market 250 Index Futures started at 628 points, up 1 point from the previous trading day. Although it began slightly higher in the morning following the rise of the Nasdaq Index, it quickly fell. A report from some Overseas Broadcasting indicated that the USA is prepared to slow down or halt rate cuts after the upcoming FOMC meeting, leading to speculation of a stop to rate reductions. Although there were no specific negative factors in the Growth Market, investor sentiment deteriorated, resulting in a continuation of the decline, finishing trading at 622 points. In the TSE Growth Market, major stocks such as Timy <215A> and Integral <5842> fell.
