Value Golf <3931> operates the golf web reservation service "One Person Reservation Land." It also supports golf course DX through services like Repeat Increase-kun (a web customer attraction support system for golf courses and golf course HP management) and is involved in the publication of the print media "Monthly Value Golf," lesson services, and travel business, etc. The number of memberships for One Person Reservation Land exceeds 1.1 million. Memberships are steadily increasing, maintaining a certain growth rate even after surpassing 1.1 million in July 2024, with the golf population estimated at 5 to 7 million, indicating there is still room for growth.
The third-quarter financial results for the January 2025 period, announced on December 13, show cumulative revenue increased by 12.3% year-on-year to 3,109 million yen, with operating profit up 2.7 times to 104 million yen. By segment, the golf business achieved a revenue increase of 2.3% year-on-year to 2,581 million yen, with segment profit rising 40.3% to 427 million yen. The travel business recorded a revenue increase of 76.6% year-on-year to 403 million yen, with segment profit up 3.1 times to 29 million yen. Although the lesson services faced challenges in the golf business, ASP products and various services such as One Person Reservation Land and Repeat Increase-kun are performing well in terms of memberships (up 10.2% year-on-year), reservation numbers (up 18.6% year-on-year), and contracted course numbers. The golf equipment sales struggled with increased procurement costs due to the weak yen, but revenue is recovering through various measures like custom club order services and web outlet sales, with the expansion of web sales channels and cost reductions contributing as well. The national magazine version of Monthly Value Golf and the acquisition of the free paper "Golf Magazine Kyushu" have also been implemented. In the travel business, the addition of Esprit Golf Co., Ltd. to the group has significantly increased revenue, collaborating with overseas travel agents to capture demand for revitalizing inbound tours, leading to substantial increases in both revenue and profit.
For the full year, revenue is projected to increase by 12.1% year-on-year to 4,100 million yen, and operating profit is expected to grow 2.5 times to 155 million yen. In addition to the price revision of One Person Reservation Land, a new feature allowing users to simultaneously "invite" and "reserve" players they want to play golf with, introduced in August, enhances user convenience by consolidating communication within the One Person Reservation Land platform. The web customer attraction support system "Repeat Increase-kun" is currently implemented in more than 300 golf courses nationwide. Based on this implementation record, a solution service "Repeat Increase-kun DX" has started, aimed at digital transformation of golf course management, reducing operational burdens, and streamlining golf course operations. As a starting point, a signless check-in function has been released to improve reception efficiency. Continuous function additions are planned, including self-checkout in the future. Additionally, data analysis utilizing AI technology, which is a strength of Noah Co., Ltd., now part of the group, is being employed to enhance efficiency and productivity in golf course operations. Testing has begun in golf courses that have already decided to adopt this system, and focus will be placed on this area to become a pillar of business expansion.
In the medium term, a growth strategy centered on an aggressive M&A strategy is being formulated, with the immediate goal of achieving consolidated revenue of 10,000 million yen and enhancing corporate value.
