Quietly, NVIDIA has been working hard to develop its Cloud Computing Business.
In recent years, NVIDIA has quietly competed in the Cloud Computing field, with competitors being its largest clients such as Amazon and Microsoft. According to Reuters, NVIDIA is hiring "solution architects" focused on specific industries like Finance, Autos, Medical, and Retail to drive its Cloud Computing Business development.
Analysis suggests that although NVIDIA is still behind existing giants in the Cloud Computing competition, its deep understanding of GPUs and cost-effective products position NVIDIA to potentially gain more market share in the future.
Currently, one of NVIDIA's main challenges is to make more businesses aware of its products, and therefore, NVIDIA needs to put more effort into enhancing market awareness and expanding its customer base, especially among enterprises that are cautious about adopting AI technology.
NVIDIA's Chief Financial Officer Colette Kress stated that the company's annual revenue from Software, Services, and Support will exceed 2 billion dollars by the end of 2024. Bloomberg believes that this revenue scale has successfully positioned NVIDIA among the top AI Cloud Business companies.
Furthermore, according to a report, NVIDIA indicated that its AI Cloud Computing Service sales currently rank among the top, with a potential to generate 150 billion dollars in revenue through software and Cloud Computing Service in the future—this target surpasses the current annual revenues of NVIDIA or Amazon AWS.
However, NVIDIA's Cloud Computing Business has triggered dissatisfaction among existing Cloud Computing Service providers, as NVIDIA not only becomes their competitor but could also change the way businesses acquire the hardware and Software necessary for AI applications.
Previously, Jensen Huang publicly stated that he plans to enter the market of Cloud Computing providers by enhancing the company's Cloud Computing and AI Software Business, and NVIDIA hopes to become a one-stop platform for enterprises to develop and run AI applications.
According to reports, NVIDIA is also considering establishing its own Datacenter to reduce dependence on Cloud Computing providers, but it is currently unknown whether this action will actually be taken.
