Thousands of workers at Amazon will walk off the job at 6 AM ET on Thursday, just days before Christmas, as union officials claim the retailer has failed to come to the negotiating table.
The International Brotherhood of Teamsters stated that union workers at factories in New York City, Skokie in Illinois, Atlanta, San Francisco, and Southern California will join the picket lines in pursuit of contracts that guarantee better wages and working conditions.
The union indicated that workers from other Amazon facilities are also prepared to join their ranks.
