默多克的新闻集团将以21亿美元的价格将Foxtel出售给英国的 DAZN

Murdoch's News Corporation will sell Foxtel to DAZN in the United Kingdom for 2.1 billion dollars.

Rupert Murdoch (Rupert Murdoch)'s news group said on Monday that it will sell its Australian cable TV and streaming division Foxtel to the British online sports streaming and entertainment platform DAZN for 3.4 billion Australian dollars (2.1 billion Australian dollars) (including debt). As part of the deal, Foxtel's current debt will be refunded when the deal is completed, and News Corp will hold 6% of DAZN, a London-based global streaming platform backed by billionaire Len Blavatnik. News Corp will receive a seat on the board of DAZN, which was founded in 2016 and is stepping up efforts to become a global streaming platform like Apple TV. Australian telecommunications company Telstra will also sell 35% of its Foxtel shares for 0.128 billion Australian dollars and will become a 3% shareholder of DAZN. The deal is still subject to regulatory approval and is expected to close in the second quarter of fiscal year 2025.
