「Dow Jones Sustainability Asia Pacific Index」の構成銘柄に3年連続で選定

JAL has been selected as a constituent of the "DJSI Asia Pacific," which consists of companies from the Asia-Pacific Region and is a representative index of ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) investments known as the "Dow Jones Sustainability Index (hereinafter referred to as 'DJSI'). This marks the third consecutive year that JAL has been selected.

DJSI conducts a comprehensive analysis and assessment of the corporate activities of over 13,000 major companies worldwide from three aspects: governance, economic, environmental, and social, to select companies with excellent sustainability. It is an important ESG index for investors who prioritize corporate social responsibility and sustainability.

In this review, JAL received the highest evaluation in the aviation industry for items such as engagement with multiple stakeholders towards decarbonization, management of packaging materials like the reduction of disposable Plastics, and information Security. Furthermore, high evaluations were given for information disclosure based on recommendations from TCFD (Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures) (*1) and TNFD (Task Force on Nature-related Financial Disclosures) (*2), as well as customer-related items including human capital management and sustainable marketing and brand evaluation. In addition to being selected for the third consecutive year for DJSI Asia Pacific, it is continuously adopted by various constituent stocks of representative stock indices for MSCI ESG ETFs, such as the 'FTSE Blossom Japan Index' and 'FTSE Blossom Japan Sector Relative Index.' (*4)

JAL will continue to promote the ESG strategy outlined as its top strategy with the entire company united, aiming to become the airline group most chosen and loved by customers by creating 'relationships and connections' through 'movement', thereby sustainably generating social and economic value.
