Company Overview

Sankikougyou Co., Ltd. was established in 1925 as an equipment company based on the machinery division of the former Mitsui & Co., Ltd. It began with the construction of large projects such as the Shiga factory of Toyo Rayon Co., Ltd. (now TORAY INDS INC) and the refrigerated warehouse for Aomori Ice Co., Ltd. Initially, it handled heating, sanitation, and building materials, and subsequently expanded into electrical equipment, mainly developing consistent operations from planning and design to construction of building facilities.

After the war, the company grew its business due to the rising demand for construction, exceeding 1 billion yen in capital in 1958. Later, it participated in projects related to the 1964 Tokyo Olympics and grew along with the Japanese economy. The business areas expanded from construction equipment such as air conditioning, sanitation, and electricity to handling equipment, transportation systems, water treatment, and waste disposal, becoming one of the top comprehensive construction equipment companies in Japan. The company was listed on the Tokyo Stock Exchange (hereinafter referred to as TSE) in 1950 and is currently listed on the Main Board of TSE.

In the fiscal year ending March 2016, the company celebrated its 90th anniversary and announced its long-term vision 'Century 2025' for its 100th anniversary in 2025. The first step, Phase 1, was completed in the fiscal year ending March 2019, and Phase 2 has been ongoing since April 2020, achieving the initial goals by the fiscal year ending March 2022. It entered Phase 3, the final stage of 'Century 2025', in the fiscal year ending March 2023, which is also expected to be completed a year ahead of schedule, leading the company to declare the 'conclusion of the “Century 2025” plan'. They are currently preparing a new medium-term management plan, which is expected to be announced next spring. The content of this new plan is highly anticipated.
