On December 24, 2023, EDVANTAGE GROUP (00382.HK) announced that on December 24, 2024, Huashang Vocational College (a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Group operating in China) signed a construction agreement with Guangdong Zhongxin Construction, whereby Guangdong Zhongxin Construction (as the contractor) agrees to undertake the construction of teaching facilities in Xinhui.
As disclosed in the Group's announcement dated November 22, 2024, the Group acquired the usage rights of three plots of land located in the southwestern area of Shuibei, Yamen Town, Xinhui District, Jiangmen City, Guangdong Province, China, with a total area of approximately 298,024 square meters. The Group is currently expanding the new campus of Huashang Vocational College on this land. The Xinhui campus is located in the Xinhui District, which has experienced economic prosperity and growth in recent years, leading to an increasing demand for private higher education. The expansion of the Xinhui campus aligns with the Group's Global Strategy to expand its network and capabilities, consolidating its industry-leading position in the Greater Bay Area. The Group believes that appointing Guangdong Zhongxin Construction as the contractor is most suitable to meet the construction and development needs of the Xinhui campus.
