Sina Technology reported on the afternoon of December 24th that Meituan's official account issued a statement today, stating that images and videos of delivery riders wearing uniforms with phrases like 'Point Male Model' have been widely circulated on various social platforms, attracting public attention. After verification by the company, these 'borderline' rider uniforms were custom-made by illegal merchants on e-commerce platforms and are not the official rider uniforms sold in the Meituan rider app shop, nor do they comply with Meituan's dress requirements for riders.

Meituan stated that as the traffic for 'Point Male Model' delivery videos on Short Video and social platforms has surged, many merchants on various e-commerce platforms use 'Point Male Model' and other 'borderline' violation images as gimmicks, claiming to customize and sell various types of counterfeit rider uniforms, forming a black Industry Chain of 'short video filming for traffic, e-commerce platforms selling for profit.'

Meituan seriously declared that customizing 'borderline' rider uniforms severely damages the image of normal delivery riders and is a malicious hype behavior to attract attention while disregarding public impact. Customizing uniforms with 'borderline' keywords also violates public morals, affects social order, and breaks several regulations of the e-commerce platform itself. Furthermore, if the clothing clearly carries trademarks of relevant enterprises and profits from sales, it constitutes an infringement on the intellectual property of those enterprises. Particularly, many similar 'borderline' helmets and other Commodities have questionable quality, posing significant threats to the safety of riders.

After receiving reports from riders, the company has notarized sales evidence from multiple infringing stores and submitted it to the public security authorities. Subsequent legal measures will also be taken to protect its rights. Meituan warns illegal merchants that making and selling counterfeits is unacceptable, and those who commit crimes will ultimately regret it.
