The Breitling boutique in Shanghai Qiantan Taikoo Li has opened.
The renowned Swiss watch brand Breitling recently announced the grand opening of its new boutique in Shanghai Qiantan Taikoo Li. The shop design follows Breitling's unified design language, showcasing an iconic industrial loft style, featuring a cool black steel frame structure paired with Breitling's signature bright yellow, creating a striking visual impression. The brown-red brick wall provides a backdrop complemented by vintage leather sofas, creating a modern retro atmosphere. Inside, classic watches and new pieces are displayed with the theme of the brand's three universes—sky, ocean, and land, along with vibrant elements corresponding to themes such as motorcycles, pilot helmets, and surfboards, conveying a youthful passion and carefree vibe distinct from other high-end watch boutiques.
In the past five years, Breitling has become one of the fastest-growing brands in the industry, now ranking ninth in global Swiss watch sales. At the same time, Breitling has steadily expanded its distribution network worldwide, with over 280 retail stores across various locations. The number of stores in the domestic market has exceeded 70, spread across nearly 50 cities.
Since 1884, Breitling's inheritors and operators have driven the brand's robust growth with pioneering spirit and foresight, embodying the courage to take the lead in countless notable achievements. The aviation chronograph series closely related to the 'sky' (Navitimer) is not only the brand's proudest but also one of the most recognizable classic works in the entire high-end watchmaking industry. In 1952, a wrist chronograph specifically designed for pilots—the aviation chronograph watch (Navitimer) was launched and became the official timepiece of the world's largest pilot association AOPA. Its innovative 'circular flight slide rule' can perform nearly all flight-related calculations, remaining a significant design element of Breitling to this day. A decade later, the aviation chronograph astronaut watch (Navitimer Cosmonauts), which added a 24-hour day-night display, successfully accompanied NASA astronauts on their return journey, earning Breitling the honor of being the 'first Swiss watch in space' in the history of aerospace.
The Avenger series (Avenger) watches, specially designed for fighter pilots, also belong to the 'sky' but are favored by aviation enthusiasts and military fans for their bold military-inspired design and outstanding performance. In 1957, the prototype of the Superocean watch (Superocean) was born, marking the brand's new challenge to conquer deep oceans. When the focus returns to land, Breitling also offers the Top Time chronograph, which embodies a strong racing style, embracing fashion and the spirit of freedom, as well as the Premier series (Premier) watch designed for elegant high-end occasions. The versatile luxury mechanical chronograph series watch (Chronomat) also holds an important position within the brand.

JNBY's "Art Education" launches its first class in Shanghai.
Recently, JNBY's children's clothing brand jnby by JNBY partnered with the Yuandi Art Museum to jointly initiate the "Art Education" project. This project will invite multiple artists to guide children in appreciating classic works and experiencing beauty around them, incorporating their insights into creation. The project's aim is to cultivate children's artistic exploration capabilities and enhance their artistic sensitivity to nature.
On December 21, the "Art Education" class was launched for the first time at Shanghai's MixC, with artist Xu Ziyun specially invited as the instructor. The theme for the autumn-winter 2024 class was "Observing a Tree," encouraging children to observe the natural and cultural aspects of seasonal scenery from the dimension of "time," stimulating their creative potential.
Xu Ziyun started by introducing Van Gogh's seasonal landscape paintings, leading the children through the changes of the seasons. From the vibrant brightness of spring, the colorful delights of summer, to the golden stretches of autumn and the snowy wonders of winter, the children carefully observed the paintings, feeling the unique charm of each season. Then, Xu Ziyun introduced works by David Hockney, using images and video clips to help children discover the forms and color changes of large trees throughout the seasons. It was as if everyone was immersed in a situational imaginative space, experiencing the cleansing lessons of sunshine, rain, wind, and frost alongside the trees.
During the artistic creation segment, Teacher Xu patiently explained the use and effects of materials, while the children created their own works using paints, paper pieces, colored pens, and other materials. After completing their creations, the children took turns sharing the stories behind their works on stage. At the end of the course, Teacher Xu encouraged the children to maintain the habits of observation, thinking, and creation in their daily lives, fostering curiosity and creativity. The second session of the Peking "Art Education" class will be held on December 28 in Chaoyang District, Peking at the Yidi Port, inviting artist Ying Jingjing as the instructor.
The children's creations will be included in the brand's art library and have the opportunity to be applied in the clothing design of the next season's artistic capsule series. To further expand this co-creation concept, jnby by JNBY will launch an online recruitment platform for the Art Education class in the future, inviting more families to join the Art Education class to collectively depict a colorful world from the hearts of children.
