According to the USA police, on Wednesday local time, a taxi in New York City jumped the curb and struck pedestrians outside Macy's, injuring seven people, with the cause of the accident being the taxi driver's sudden illness.
The incident occurred in Midtown Manhattan, at Herald Square near the flagship Macy's store, close to the corner of West 34th Street and Americas Avenue (Sixth Avenue).
Police added that the injured included a 9-year-old boy, two 49-year-old women, and four others aged 19, 37, and 41, in addition to the 58-year-old taxi driver.
Police stated that a 49-year-old woman with a leg injury, a 9-year-old boy with cuts, and a 41-year-old woman with a head injury were sent to the Hospital. The other three pedestrians refused medical assistance and added that all injured were not in life-threatening condition.
